200hr Yoga Teacher Training ~ BodyMindLife Sydney
Why are you passionate about what you teach
I love sharing my passion for yoga through teaching. I think often we don’t know exactly why we come to a yoga class - why we start practicing. We might have this idea of a 'better version of ourselves' or finding ourselves, but we rarely know what that means until we are in the middle of a class holding warrior two for a minute and a half and there it is - stillness in our minds. Sure, struggle in our limbs and muscles but clarity inside. There’s nothing quite like the feeling you get after a yoga class.
How would you describe your classes
Instructing a slow, strong yoga flow, my focus lies on turning intention inwards with long holds and slow transitions. I believe in the poses, the right alignment and creatively sequencing a seamless flow. My aim is to create a joyful experience for my students, allowing them to exit the hustle of their work/private life to enter into deeper layers of their mind.
Your favourite holiday destination
Taghazout in Morocco - a tiny fishing village with a beautiful beach and a focus on yoga and surfing.
Tell us something you love to do outside of the studio
I love to dance even though I’m not very good at it :)
What inspires you
I think I draw my energy from friends, community and people in general. I love watching random acts of kindness and love. I think the best way for us to show kindness to others, is to show it to ourselves first. I love traveling and getting to know different cultures. Animals also inspire me. The unconditional love they can give you. My dog has a huge influence on my moods and can change them in seconds.
